"Mexiko 2016"

The short film tells the story of a filmmaker looking back on an earlier, failed documentary project. He watches the material he shot at the time and wonders why he never finished this promising project. It was what he had always dreamed of: filming a band's tour—like in the movie “Almost Famous.” As he relives the journey, he understands the band and the tour in a way he didn't see 10 years ago: what could have been the rise of a successful newcomer band (and its filmmaker) in his memory was in fact an anti-capitalist journey of self-discovery.
